There is no magic prayer to pray. God is more concerned with your heart than with the words you use. This is just one you can use. Pray it and mean it.
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I need your forgiveness. I want to turn from my sins and live my life for your glory not mine. I know that you lived a sinless life, died on the cross in my place and arose from the dead three days later. You paid my debt for me, and I give my heart and life to you. I want you to live your life through me. I know you are my Savior, and I want you to be the Lord of my Life. Please fill me with your Holy Spirit so that I may have new and eternal life. Please take control of my life and make me the person you want me to be. Thank you Lord Jesus...I love you. Amen.
Now What??
The moment that you received Christ as your personal Lord and Savior through your faith, many things happened:
Christ came into your life (Revelation 3:20 & Colossians 1:27)
Your sins were forgiven (Colossians 1:14)
You became a child of God (John 1:21)
You received eternal life (John 5:24)
You began the great adventure for which God created you (John 10:10, II Corinthians 5:17, I Thessalonians 5:18)
You now need to publicly profess your faith to others. Christ told us that if we are ashamed to confess Him before men, He will be ashamed to confess us before His Father.
Your new faith in Jesus must be nurtured and exercised so that it may grow. I recommend you finding a good local Church to become a part of where you can be taught and mentored by mature Christians.
